Welcome! I am Dr. Stephanie (previously VanVoorhis) Sinclair (known to my younger patients as Dr. Steph). I have had an intense passion for helping people since I was a young girl (I was that 3 year old who would tell you I was going to be a doctor when I grew up). Like my pediatrician was to me, I want to be the reason why young children want to be physicians when they’re older. I grew up in the Sammamish area working with developmentally delayed and special needs children as well as being very active in my community with sports and recreational activities. I have always had a special place in my heart for working with children which is why I specialize in family medicine, particularly pediatrics and women’s health. Perhaps I am a kid at heart or maybe I just envy their energy and innocence, but they have a way of lighting up a room! Of course, I love their families too!
Due to some family health circumstances in high school, my eyes were opened to the type of medicine I craved to practice and Bastyr University became my goal. After receiving my undergraduate degree at Western Washington University in biopsychology and sports psychology, as well as finishing my pre-med requirements, I worked for a few years in a metabolic disorder and obesity management program. I then went to Bastyr to achieve my dreams of becoming a physician. I believe that quality healthcare begins with a trusting relationship and my priority is to listen and learn about who you are and where you are at in your life. This includes respecting and understanding the lifestyles of each of the families I work with, including their faith, heritage and personal belief systems. I have training in pediatrics, men and women’s health, biofeedback, physical medicine modalities, herbal medicine, nutrition, detoxification, exercise and everything in between! I believe that ultimate health starts from the womb and being able to work with families through all the ups and downs life has to offer is something that I take seriously. I feel truly blessed to play a role in helping families attain optimal health.
The Northwest will always be home and I currently live in the Bothell/Woodinville area. I am an avid sports fan and love being outside and being active. If you want to get me on a tangent, ask me about football! I also thoroughly enjoy time with my family and friends, enjoying the beautiful PNW. I am also a member of the PedANP, AANP, WANP and board member of the NWNPC, all allowing me to further my growth as a physician.
